I have read lots of reviews about bagel places in St Augustine and had my doubts but this place is amazing and its a shame I live an hour away from here. I bought 2 bagels with cream cheese to go and 12 dozen bagels to go home a few weeks ago because my dermatologist office is around the corner. I stumbled on this place in my opinion, what a great stumble. Back story I was born and raised in NYC so I feel like I know a good bagel and they are hard to find outside NYC. If you are in the area, near the area or passing World Golf exit off 95 get off and go east. You will thank me once you take a bit ”

“ I dont write many reviews on here, mainly because most places in Jax and St. Johns are mediocre chains, typical suburbanite fair that are forgettable, commoditized and exist solely to placate the uncultured masses. I dont even eat bagels now because bagels in 90 of America are overly chewy nonsense made in factories in the middle of the country. Unless you live in a city like New York or Montreal, the chances of getting a good bagel are about as good as the chances that American politics is going to become civil soon. A customer of mine told me about this place, and I was skeptical. Gave it a shot this morning, bought half a dozen to bring home and a pork roll and egg on an everything. I was impressed, I have a culinary background and was a chef and kitchen manager for many years. Im not easy to impress and perhaps Im too hard on things. The sandwich was made with care and you could tell the bagels were as well. They had a nice chew, a slight crisp on the outside and salted correctly. The sandwich was not overly greasy and assembled nicely. The eggs were done well and not overcooked. Overall it was so much better than most breakfast sandwichs that can be acquired around here Excellent job! Look foreward to many more visits and trying the spreads. ”
